Preventing child cycling injuries

The Child Safety Good Practice Guide describes leading practices for preventing childhood injuries, including cycling injuries. The information related to cycling can be found on page 11. The evidence is presented using the ‘3 E’s’ approach to injury prevention, where strategies should focus on education, enforcement and engineering. The strongest programs will incorporate each type of strategy. Implementation points are also discussed.
