Pedestrian Safety

In addition to drivers and passengers, pedestrians are among the top three classes of road users that experience the most fatalities and injuries on Canadian roads. Between 2009 and 2013 alone, over 1,500 pedestrians were killed on and tens of thousands were seriously injured on Canadian roads. Many of these pedestrian-related injuries and fatalities could have been prevented.
