Kelley joined Parachute in 2017 and leads the charity’s strategic communications, as well as campaigns and marketing that educate about injury prevention. Highlights include #CheckForConcussion, #HighAndLocked (cannabis safe storage) #KnowWhatImpairedMeans, which in 2022 earned an International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Award, and the launch of the accessible, revamped parachute.ca website in 2019.

She is skilled in integrated and strategic marketing communications planning and campaigns, branding development and management, public relations strategies and community relations, social media strategies and digital engagement, project management, creative development, executive communications, media relations and media training, event planning, and web content development and redesign.

After a career in journalism, where she honed her skills as an award-winning writer and editor, Kelley moved into communications as publicist for the Stratford Festival and also taught writing and communications at the university level. She has further experience as a communications and marketing leader both at the University of Waterloo and at OCAD University in Toronto.
